Davide Barzi

Screenwriter, writer, comics historian and editorial director of If Edizioni. He writes for Dampyr, Dylan Dog, Martin Mystère, Nathan Never, Odessa and Le Storie (Sergio Bonelli Editore).
For ReNoir Comics he curates the series Don Camillo a fumetti, Corrierino delle famiglie and Father Brown.
He created the illustrated novel series for children Tra le nuvole (“Among the Clouds”), which tells the youth of the most important characters in Italian comics.
Other titles from his extensive body of work include Le Regine del Terrore (a biography of the creators of Diabolik), G&G, a graphic novel dedicated to Giorgio Gaber illustrated by Sergio Gerasi, and Giacinto Facchetti – Il rumore non fa gol (written with Paolo Maggioni, drawings by Davide Castelluccio).


Moreno Burattini

Born in San Marcello Pistoiese in 1962, he is one of the most renowned Italian comics writers. He made his professional debut in 1990 on the magazine Mostri (ACME).
He has written numerous stories for Lupo Alberto, Cattivik, Comandante Mark, Dampyr and Tex, but the character he has dedicated himself to the most is Zagor, whose adventures he has been writing since 1991.
For his work in comics, he has received many prestigious awards, including the Gran Guinigi Award at Lucca Comics in 2003.
Playwright, humorist, lecturer and essayist, he runs two blogs and a widely followed X account. His books include biographies of Gallieno Ferri and Sergio Bonelli (Coniglio Editore, 2009 and 2011), the novel Le mura di Jericho(Cartoon Club, 2011), and collections of aphorisms Utili sputi di riflessione and Sarò bre (Allagalla, 2015 and 2017).
With Cut-Up he published the horror anthologies Dall’altra parte (2016) and Il negromante e altri incubi (2018), the comedy collection Facezie (2017), the essay collection Discorsi sulle nuvole (2018), the biography Max Bunker – Una vita da Numero Uno (2019), the professional autobiography Io e Zagor (2020), and the epigram collection Versacci(2022).


Silvio Camboni

Born in Santadi (Cagliari) on September 4, 1967.
Architect and journalist, he is a comics author.
Since 1988 he has collaborated with Walt Disney, publishing in Topolino and other Disney magazines.
From 2004 he began working with French and Belgian publishers: Les Humanoïdes Associés (Gargouilles, 6 volumes; Les mondes cachés, 4 volumes) and Dupuis (Nefesis, 2 volumes).
In 2006 he directed the animated short film Dopo trent’anni prima.
In 2010 he started collaborating with Vents d’Ouest/Glénat, drawing Willy Wonder; from 2011 the series Le Voyage Extraordinaire (12 volumes); from 2022 Prima Spatia (3 volumes).
Between 2012 and 2013 he produced animated shorts for Antoniano of Bologna and RAI Cinema.
In 2018 he illustrated Mickey et l’océan perdu, and in 2019 Mickey et la terre des anciens for Glénat.
Awards: Premio Fumo di China – New Authors (2001); Prix du Public France 3 and Prix Graphique Actusf de l’Uchronie (2016); Prix BD d’Aventures CE EPIC SNCF (2017); Éléphant d’Or at the Chambéry Festival (2018); Premio Coco – Best Italian Illustrator (2021); Prix Jeunesse at the Val en Bulles Festival (2024).


Pasquale Frisenda

Born in Milan on January 8, 1970. In 1986 he attended the Illustration and Comics course at Castello Sforzesco in Milan.
He debuted in the science fiction magazine Cyborg (Star Comics, 1990).
In 1990 he began collaborating on Ken Parker Magazine, later acquired by Sergio Bonelli Editore. After its closure, he worked on Magico Vento (1997), producing fourteen episodes and many covers.
In 2005 he was entrusted with illustrating Patagonia, a highly acclaimed Tex story published in the 2009 Texone.
He also collaborated on Dylan Dog Color Fest, Le Storie, and Deadwood Dick.
In 2021 Peaux Épaisses was published in France by Les Humanoïdes Associés and Éditions Critic.
In 2024 Sergio Bonelli Editore published the comics adaptation of Il deserto dei Tartari by Dino Buzzati, earning Frisenda the ANAFI Award for Best Realistic Artist.


Otto Gabos

Born in Cagliari, he lives and works in Bologna. He teaches Comics and Illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna.
Since his debut in 1985 he has published in numerous magazines and graphic novels with major Italian and international publishers.
Alongside his work as a cartoonist, he is also an illustrator and writer for children’s literature.
He has received several awards, including the Micheluzzi Award, the Caran d’Ache Award, two Boscarato Awards, and the prestigious Andersen Award.


Sergio Gerasi

Born in Milan in 1978, he debuted as an artist on Lazarus Ledd.
He has worked on Dylan Dog, Mercurio Loi, Le Storie and Cani Sciolti for Sergio Bonelli Editore.
With Davide Barzi he created G&G, a graphic novel dedicated to Giorgio Gaber.
He won the Andrea Pazienza Award 2018 for Un romantico a Milano.
He currently writes and draws new stories of Valentina (Feltrinelli Comics).
He is also the creator and illustrator of Eternity (Sergio Bonelli Editore).
Drummer and founder of the punk rock band 200Bullets.


Keiko Ichiguchi

Born in Osaka Prefecture, Japan. She began her career in 1988 working for a Shogakukan monthly magazine.
Since 1994 she has lived in Bologna, working as a comics author, essayist and translator.
Her works include La vista sul cortile, 1945, AMERICA, Là où la mer murmure, Malgré tout fleurissent les cerisiers, Andrea to issho!, and Memorie di Iris.
Her most recent work is La vie d’Otama (Kana, 2024; Sergio Bonelli Editore, 2025).


Emiliano Longobardi

Born in Sassari in 1972, bookseller and writer.
He co-wrote Xiola – Primo sangue and published several graphic novels.
He created and curated Rusty Dogs, a serial webcomic illustrated by fifty leading Italian artists, later published in print.
He is co-artistic director of the festivals Florinas in giallo – L’isola dei misteri and di:segni.
He also co-wrote the short film Noi siamo il male.


Michele Medda

Since the 1980s he has collaborated with Sergio Bonelli Editore.
He co-created Nathan Never and Legs Weaver, and wrote for Tex, Nick Raider and Dylan Dog.
He adapted Il deserto dei Tartari into comics in 2024, illustrated by Pasquale Frisenda.
He also works in cinema as a screenwriter and story consultant and teaches writing in Florence.


Paolo Mottura

Born in Pinerolo in 1968, he debuted at Disney in 1989.
He worked on Paperinik New Adventures and many iconic Disney stories and parodies, including Moby Dick.
In 2017 he illustrated Metopolis, a Disney adaptation of Fritz Lang’s Metropolis.
In 2022 Nicola Pesce Editore published his reinterpretation of Pinocchio.


Bruno Olivieri

Screenwriter, illustrator, colorist and journalist.
He has published in Italy and abroad and works as a cartoonist for national newspapers, including La Lettura (Corriere della Sera).
He also works in animation and has received several international awards.


Ilaria Palleschi

Born in 1989 in Latina. She studied Illustration and Animation at IED.
She debuted with Nina che disagio (Bao Publishing, 2018).
She collaborates as an illustrator and teaches comics and storytelling in schools.
In 2025 she published Buster (Tunué), a biopic of Buster Keaton.


Stefano Piani

He began working at Sergio Bonelli Editore in 1996.
He has written over 20,000 comic pages and numerous TV series and films.
He teaches Screenwriting at Unimol and at the National Academy of Dramatic Arts “Silvio D’Amico” in Rome.


Sualzo

Antonio “Sualzo” Vincenti (Perugia, 1969) is an author and illustrator.
With Silvia Vecchini he has published numerous award-winning books and graphic novels.
In September 2025 his graphic novel Per tutte le altre destinazioni (Tunué) will be released.


Marcello Toninelli

Born in Siena on June 25, 1950.
A prolific author, he has worked for major Italian and international publishers and is known for his humorous strip parodies of literary classics.
He has received numerous awards and has been invited to speak at universities and cultural institutions across Europe and Canada.


Luca Usai

Born in Guspini in 1977, he has worked extensively with Disney and Topolino.
He has illustrated comics, graphic novels and children’s books and teaches perspective techniques.
In 2024 he illustrated Topolino e il Mistero dei Giganti, which sold out in Sardinia within hours.


Andrea Venturi

Born in Bologna on July 4, 1963.
He debuted in comics in 1989 and later became one of the most acclaimed artists of Dylan Dog and Tex.
Among his recent works are I pionieri (Texone n.28) and the Black Tiger tetralogy.
